My kids and grandkids took my wife and I to Miyabi's in Murrells Inlet last night for our 40th wedding anniversary. All was good inside. The chef, servers and the meal. But you have a problem outside in your parking lot.
As a former Murrells Inlet restaurant owner I can tell you that Georgetown Code Enforcement requires 1 handicapped parking space for every 25 spaces. The American Disabilities Act requires that these handicapped spaces be installed front and nearest to the front entrance. I did not count spaces but all of your handicapped spaces are on the side of the property and not in compliance with the ADA. This makes your restaurant handicap unfriendly and non-compliant. The ADA fine is $50K. I have a heart condition and the longer the walk, the more risk I take. You also cannot allow smoking within 100 feet of your front entrance. I left the restaurant to the disgusting stench of persons smoking cigarettes right outside your entrance. This is your duty and responsibility to enforce. A "no-smoking" sign would have been nice but nothing as such was in existence except an ash tray which only makes it look like smoking ion this area is acceptable.
Please fix this. I would like to return to your restaurant but I cannot as long as these conditions exist.
